An Intimate Elopement at Marincanto, Positano
As a Positano elopement photographer, I love celebrations that allow the place to become part of the story. This elopement brought a Japanese couple to Marincanto, overlooking the sea in Positano, for an intimate ceremony filled with music, flowers and a few unforgettable moments together. From getting ready with Giusy Auricchio to a ceremony led by Chiara D’Orio, accompanied by guitarist Giuseppe, the day unfolded slowly and naturally. After the ceremony, the couple took in the views of Positano before ending the celebration with their first dance overlooking the sea. It was a small destination wedding experience shaped by the beauty of Marincanto, the energy of Positano and the intimacy of celebrating somewhere far from home.
An Intimate Ceremony at Marincanto
Overlooking the sea in Positano, Marincanto provided an intimate setting for the ceremony. With the couple surrounded by just a few loved ones, the atmosphere was quiet, personal and deeply connected to the landscape. Chiara D’Orio led the ceremony and brought her own warmth and energy to the celebration, while guitarist Giuseppe accompanied the moments with live music. Makeup artist Giusy Auricchio took care of the bride’s beauty, completing a relaxed and elegant morning by the sea. As soon as the ceremony ended, Chiara invited the couple into their first dance, accompanied by Giuseppe. With Positano and the sea stretching out around them, the moment felt spontaneous and deeply personal — a beautiful way to begin the celebration together.
An Elopement in Positano
After the ceremony, the couple took their time to enjoy the views and the beauty of Positano. From the terraces of Marincanto to the sea below, we wandered through the landscape that had brought them all the way to the Amalfi Coast, stopping along the way for a few photographs together. We eventually made our way down to La Scogliera, Marincanto’s beach club by the sea, where the final photographs brought the day even closer to the water. For an intimate destination wedding, there is something special about having the freedom to slow down, wander and simply enjoy being together — exactly the kind of experience I love documenting as a Positano elopement photographer.
