An Italian Welcome Dinner on the Amalfi Coast

The weekend began on the road. Amanda and Max drove along the Amalfi Coast in a vintage car by Positano Vintage, surrounded by some of the most iconic views of the Italian coastline. The evening continued at Trattoria da Lorenzo, where Sveva Event Design created a welcome dinner that felt unmistakably Italian: long tables, red and white details, lemons, pizza and all the people they had travelled to Italy to celebrate with. Relaxed, colourful and full of energy, it was the perfect beginning to their wedding weekend in Ravello.

A Wedding at Villa Eva in Ravello

The following day, Amanda and Max celebrated their wedding at Villa Eva, one of Ravello’s most beautiful settings overlooking the Amalfi Coast — a place I know well as a wedding photographer. Surrounded by gardens, mountains and the sea, Amanda and Max celebrated with an outdoor ceremony followed by dinner beneath the lights of the villa. Sveva Event Design brought the entire day together with an elegant and effortless vision, while the floral design by Starace Florist filled the spaces with soft colours, greenery and delicate details that felt completely at home in the landscape. As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere changed naturally — from the emotion of the ceremony to dinner, music and a dance floor full of energy. As a destination wedding photographer, photographing a wedding at Villa Eva has a different meaning for me. Ravello is home. I know its light, its streets and the way the landscape changes throughout the day. But what I love most is seeing this place through the eyes of couples who have travelled across the world to celebrate here.
